Can Cannabidiol Help Arthritis Patients? – A Mini Investigation

Believe it or not, the CDC estimates 78 million Americans could have arthritis by 2040...In this post, we're going to go over the most recent research into how CBD could tame joint pain.

As America's population ages, health officials believe there will be a significant increase in the number of arthritis patients. Believe it or not, the CDC estimates 78 million Americans could have arthritis by 2040. Thankfully, CBD could offer an all-natural alternative to help to this growing health crisis.

If you're interested in learning more about this subject, then please keep reading. In this post, we're going to go over the most recent research into how CBD could tame joint pain.

CBD's Potential: A Quick Look At The Data

When it comes to CBD research, it's impossible not to mention the oft-cited 2016 study published in the prestigious European Journal of Pain. For this animal trial, scientists at the University of Kentucky gave a group of rats arthritis and then applied CBD to their skin. Amazingly, study authors noted a significant decrease in knee inflammation after applying the CBD balm. Even researchers at Harvard Medical School agreed this study strongly suggests topical CBD use could help reduce joint inflammation.

But wait, there's more! Researchers at Cornell University recently examined how well CBD oil managed arthritis symptoms in dogs. About half of the dogs in this study were given daily doses of CBD oil, while the others received placebos. According to veterinary reports, the dogs in the CBD group appeared to enjoy more significant relief versus the non-CBD group.

Of course, there's still a great deal scientists don't understand about how CBD affects humans. Having said that, however, the results of these studies are incredibly encouraging.

How Does CBD Work Its Magic?

We've all heard of the nervous system and the immune system, but what about the endocannabinoid system (ECS)? Although it might look like something you'd see in a science fiction novel, the ECS is very real, and it’s essential for maintaining internal homeostasis.

The reason compounds like CBD have such a profound effect on our health is that they can directly bind with our body's natural cannabinoid receptors. Recent research out of Germany also suggests CBD could increase the production of a natural anti-inflammatory compound known as anandamide.

Why We're Dedicated To Quality CBD: Aspen's Story

Although clinical research into CBD is ongoing, there are plenty of anecdotal reports suggesting CBD's potential. In fact, Chil Wellness might not exist if I didn't see CBD's profound effects first-hand.

You see, back in 2008, doctors diagnosed my daughter Aspen with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The only therapy recommended at the time was an incredibly potent anti-cancer drug with severe side effects.

Fearing the long-term effects of this medication, I paid a visit to "Dr. Google" and began researching all-natural pain-relievers. Over the course of 12 years, and after trying 100’s of variations of various herbs like Boswellia and St. John's Wort, I finally ran across CBD. After hiring a group of scientists to infuse the CBD into our balm, I was finally able to apply my new CBD-infused balm on Aspen and she immediately noticed more relief.

Shortly afterward, I founded Chil Wellness to offer customers across America the highest quality hemp-derived CBD products. In addition to our famous Aspen's Maximum Relief Salve, we now produce Aspen’s Maximum Relief Roll-on and our CBD Deep Sleeping capsules.

All of our products have been lab-verified to contain no more than 0.3 percent THC content, so there's no need to fear adverse psychedelic effects. For full transparency, you can find all of our lab results on this link.
